The District is requesting $49,919.66 from the CWCB Water Efficiency Grant <br /> Program to implement a meter replacement program recommended in the District's Water <br /> Conservation Plan(December 2010). <br /> The purpose of the meter replacement program is to reduce Non-Revenue water, from inaccurate <br /> meters due mainly to age. The Meter Replacement Program shall attempt to replace 400 new <br /> residential radio read meters and ten commercial meters. The District estimates residential <br /> customers can save 159 AF by 2021 and commercial users can save 15 AF by 2022. <br /> The total cost of the project is $93,248.44. The District has pledged 26% matching funds in the <br /> form of in-kind services ($43,328.78). The OWCDP staff has reviewed and evaluated the grant <br /> application and has determined that the proposal meets or exceeds the CWCB guidelines for <br /> reviewing grant proposals.
