Conservancy board, Aurora appear near Fry -Ark agreement <br />, w,, <br />Management of Aurora's annual surplus water supplies also is addressed. <br />http://www.chieftain.com/print.php3?story=3 <br />Besides ironing out the language of the agreement, about all that remains to be done is to resolve one <br />issue involving water and storage for Otero County, Arveschoug said. <br />The conservancy district board agreed to hold another special meeting at 9 a.m. Oct. 4, when it's <br />expected it will vote on the draft. <br />The Aurora City Council has meetings scheduled Oct. 8 and 22. <br />"I think we're very close to something Aurora can live with," said Gerry Knapp, who represents Aurora. <br />"I'll be taking this draft to the people in water resources and then to Aurora's City Council." <br />Stephen Leonhardt, an attorney for the conservancy district, announced at Thursday's meeting that a case <br />management conference for the Rocky Ford Ditch transfer case has been set for 3 p.m. Oct. 24 at district <br />court in Canon City, before Judge John Anderson. <br />Leonhardt also announced that District Judge Dennis Maes of Pueblo has been appointed the new water <br />judge for Division 2, replacing Anderson, and will begin his duties in December. <br />©1996 -2000 The pueblo Chieftain Online <br />2 of 2 9/25/012:39 PM <br />
