Recharge is requesting$34,925 to conduct three technical workshops in the
Colorado and Arkansas basins to increase collaboration between water& energy communities.
If successful, Recharge plans to hold future workshops statewide.
Recharge believes the workshops will help explore the water efficiency savings in the energy
field and through the various water use efforts that communities and organizations have and
implement. The workshops will help to reduce water and energy demand, make improvements
in regards to water loss and water& energy use efficiencies in addressing the water-energy
nexus. Recharge also believes the discussions will lead to future opportunities for more
comprehensive water-energy systems management.
The total project cost is $53,275. Recharge has pledged 34%matching funds in the form of in-
kind services totaling $18,350. The OWCDP staff has reviewed and evaluated the grant
application and has determined that the proposal meets or exceeds the CWCB guidelines for
reviewing grant proposals.
