This system will help the District to more effectively serve their customers by <br /> proactively contacting them,via e-mail or phone,when leaks, over-irrigation,or other problems are <br /> detected. <br /> The District believes this system will substantially reduce water unnecessarily lost to leaks and over- <br /> irrigation. The District estimates it could save as much as 92 AF per year. The District will be able to <br /> provide actionable information that residential and business customers need to use water efficiently. To <br /> calculate water savings from the irrigation efficiency improvements the system offers,water consumption <br /> during past irrigation seasons will be normalized for year-to-year weather differences and compared to <br /> consumption data after the system has been activated. <br /> The District has pledged 26%matching funds in the form of in-kind services($11,480).
