RRA Reporting (Continued from page 2) <br />If your landholdings have <br />changed since last year, bought <br />or sold, irrigable lands, or <br />changed the status of any leased <br />land, you must complete a new <br />certification form(s). Please <br />contact the District office if you <br />need new certification forms. <br />If you are married both you <br />and your spouse must sign the <br />form unless a signature <br />authorization is on file with the <br />District. All partners must sign <br />unless the partnership <br />agreement authoirzes one <br />partner to sign on behalf of the <br />partnership. An authorized <br />person must sign for a <br />corporation. <br />The repayment contract <br />between the District and the U. <br />S. Bureau of Reclamation <br />requires the District to prepare <br />an annual report identifying the <br />crops grwon within the project <br />area. <br />If you have any questions <br />concerning the Reclamation <br />Reform Act, please call Tom <br />Simpson or Margie Miller at <br />(719) 948 -2400. If you will be <br />in the area, we are located in the <br />Pueblo Airport Industrial Park <br />area 31717 United Avenue, <br />Pueblo, Colorado, feel free to <br />stop by and we will be glad to <br />assist you. <br />Written by: Tom Simpson, <br />Water Resources Manager, SECWCD <br />Toni Gonzales Celebrates 25 Years of <br />Service with SECWCD <br />At the November 16, 2000 <br />Board of Directors meeting, Toni <br />Gonzales was recognized with a <br />surprise celebration for 25 Years <br />of Service with the Southeastern <br />Colorado Water Conservancy <br />District. Toni's daughters, <br />Andrea and Lisa, walked into the <br />boardroom with a cake, followed <br />by Toni's family and friends. <br />SECWCD Board President, <br />Ralph Adkins thanked and <br />credited Toni for her many years <br />of service by presenting Toni with <br />a silver watch with the inscription, <br />"25 Years of Outstanding Service <br />SECWCD Toni Gonzales." <br />Toni credits her dedication with <br />the District as being able to work <br />with such a nice. and <br />knowledgeable <br />group of <br />people. Toni <br />then enj oyed a <br />lunch with <br />family, friends, <br />B o a r d <br />members, <br />guests and <br />staff. <br />3 <br />Past Board Member <br />John E. Javernick <br />The Southeastern Colorado <br />Water Conservancy District <br />regretfully reports that our past <br />Board member John E. <br />Javernick had unexpectedly <br />passed away on October 27, <br />2000. He is survived by his <br />wife Julia and four children, <br />17 grandchildren and two great - <br />grand children. <br />Mr. Javernick served on the <br />Southeastern Colorado Water <br />Conservancy District Board of <br />Directors from April 15, 1972 <br />until April 19, 1990 <br />representing Fremont County. <br />Mr. Javernick was drafted <br />into the Army Air Force in May <br />1942 and served through World <br />War II. He attended four years <br />of agricultural school after the <br />war. He also served on the Oil <br />Creek Ditch Board and the <br />Four Mile School Board. <br />Mr. Javernick was awarded <br />the Legacy of the Land Award <br />by the Bureau of Land <br />Management in April 1999 and <br />the Riparian Stewardship <br />Award by the Colorado <br />Riparian Association in 1998. <br />DETAILS (Continued from page 1) <br />Congress to implement the PSOP. <br />That may or may not take longer <br />than getting water users to agree <br />to the details of the PSOP. <br />Remember, the devil's in the <br />details. <br />Written by: Steve Arveschoug, <br />General Manager, SECWCD <br />
