7 COOPERATIVE STUDIES and ACTIVITIES
Article VIII.G.0) of Arkansas River Compact requires the Administration
to cooperate with the chief official of each of the states of Colorado
and Kansas charged with the administration of water rights in their
respective states, and with the Federal agencies in systematically
determining and correlating the facts pertaining to the flow and
diversion of the water of the Arkansas River and to the operation and
siltation of John Martin Reservoir and other related structures. Article
VIII.G.(2) requests the Director of the United States Geological Survey,
the Commissioner of the United States Bureau of Reclamation, and the
Chief of Engineers, United States Army, to cooperate and collaborate
with the Administration and with appropriate state officials in such
determinations and correlations of stream flow and related data.
