BLM gave notice the Proposed Colorado Canyons Resource Management Plan and Final <br />Environmental Impact Statement (Proposed RMP /Final EIS) is available to the publicfora 30 -day <br />protest period. BLM will accept written protests on the Final EIS if postmarked within 30 <br />calendar days from the date that a Notice of Availability is <br />published in the Federal Register by the Environmental Protection Agency. Written comments <br />should be sentto: Jane Ross, 2815 H Road, Grand Junction, Colorado 81506. Comments mayalso <br />be sent by e -mail to Jane Ross(a)-co.blm.gov. The Proposed RMP /Final EIS and other associated <br />documents or background information may be viewed and downloaded in PDF format at the project <br />Web site at http : / /www.co.bim.gov /cocanplan /. <br />Bureau of Reclamation <br />69 Fed. Reg. 43013, July 19, 2004. <br />The Adaptive Management Program (AMP) was implemented as a result of the Record of <br />Decision (ROD) on the Operation of Glen Canyon Dam Final EIS to comply with consultation <br />requirements of the Grand Canyon Protection Act of 1992 (Pub. L. 102 -575, GCPA). The AMP <br />includes a Federal advisory committee (AMWG), a technical work group (TWG), a monitoring and <br />research center and independent review panels. The AMWG makes recommendations to the <br />Secretary of the Interior concerning Glen Canyon Dam operations and other management actions <br />to protect resources downstream of Glen Canyon Dam consistent with the GCPA. The TWG is a <br />subcommittee of the AMWG and provides technical advice and recommendations to the AMWG. <br />Reclamation gives notice that the AMWG will conduct a public meeting in Phoenix, Arizona August <br />9-11,2004. <br />69 Fed. Reg. 44546, July 26, 2004. <br />Reclamation gives notice of contractual actions that have been proposed to the agency and <br />are new, modified, discontinued or completed since the last publication of this notice on May 18, <br />2004. A tabulation is provided of all proposed contractual actions in each of the five Reclamation <br />regions, including seven contractual actions in the Upper Colorado Region. The February 27, 2004 <br />notice should be used as a reference point to identify changes.
