Erosion reduction treatment applied on urban and built -up land. <br />28 Fiscal Year 2003 Performance Report <br />Indicator: Community improvement <br />projects completed. <br />Target: 4,300 projects <br />Actual: 4,254 projects <br />Analysis: The target was achieved. <br />These projects were planned and carried <br />out by Resource Conservation and <br />Development Councils with NRCS <br />assistance. <br />Indicator: Urban and built -up land <br />where erosion reduction measures <br />were applied: <br />Target: 70,200 acres <br />Actual: 84,700 acres <br />Analysis: The target was exceeded by <br />more than 20 percent. Primary accom- <br />plishments were achieved in rapidly <br />urbanizing areas of Atlanta, Chicago, <br />and Philadelphia. <br />Source: NRCS, Performance and <br />Results Measurement System, <br />October 2003. <br />
