Elizabeth Estill, Regional Forester 20
CONCLUSION
This concludes the Service's biological opinion on the impacts of the existing
and proposed projects associated with minor water depletions on seven national
forests. This opinion was based upon the information described herein. If
new information becomes available, new species listed, or any other project
change which alters the operation of the project from that which is described
in the biological assessment and which may affect any endangered or threatened
species in a manner or to an extent not considered in this biological opinion
(see 50 CFR 402.16), formal Section 7 consultation should be reinitiated.
This biological opinion covers projects associated with minor water depletions
from May 1, 1993, through August 1, 1994; therefore, it is expected that
Section 7 consultation will be reinitiated for minor water depletions that
occur on the seven national forests after August 1, 1994. It is expected that
a similar programmatic biological assessment would be prepared for a specific
time period after August 1, 1994.
Thank you for your cooperation in the formulation of this biological opinion
and your interest in conserving endangered species.
Sincerely,
Regional Director
