To <br />,s �e register call <br />Cdr ~es 'deer (719) 948 - <br />��2 ?o4le o2 400. <br />c <br />OF . or ohs <br />r <br />SEPTEMBER 30, 2005 <br />.r G r ti <br />ay 2005, the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation forecasted <br />the Fryingpan- Arkansas Project would import ap- <br />proximately 47,000 acre -feet from the Western slope <br />allowing 37,375 acre -feet available for Project water allocation <br />(minus the 3,000 acre -feet for the Twin Lakes Exchange, 4,400 acre - <br />feet for transit loss and 2,225 of evaporation). The Allocation Com- <br />mittee then agreed to allocate 30,000 acre -feet and retain a portion <br />for emergency reserves. <br />June arrived and Reclamation informed the Allocation Com- <br />mittee only 26,750 acre -feet would be available for allocation. At <br />that time not only no second allocation but a deficit for the next year, <br />and no return flows unless the <br />Project yield would increase in <br />July. Southeastern was not opti- <br />mistic. <br />When Boustead tunnel diver - <br />L; lions of west slope water ended <br />July 13, 2005 with a final <br />amount of 53,815 acre -foot of <br />.e,. diversions.
