Salazar has asked for the District's
input on the following questions.
1. What is working with the Endangered Species Act?
2. What needs to be preserved in the existing ESA legislation?
3. What are the most egregious problems with the ESA (are they legislative or
administrative)?
4. What are your priorities for ESA legislative reform (mindful that overreaching has gotten
us nowhere to date)?
5. What are the specific problems or successes you and your agency have had with ESA that
illuminate your answers to the questions above?
Mr. Lee Miller will be working with District staff to provide a response no later than August 31,
as requested by Rep. Salazar's office.
OTHER BUSINESS:
Mr. Broderick said that the Board was provided a cooler, which Fry -Ark tour participants
received, and a polo shirt with the District logo on it.
President Stealey asked if there were any other matters to come before the meeting, and hearing
none, adjourned the meeting at 12:21 p.m.
Toni Gonzales
Administrative Manager
Secretary
