2
intended to offset depletion impacts of other projects, the designation of
critical habitat and other new information warrants a reevaluation of other
Reclamation projects for Endangered Species Act compliance. Should
consultation be required, the preparation of biological assessments and
biological opinions by our respective agencies will require a significant
amount of staff time and effort. We would like to meet with you to establish
a prioritized schedule for reevaluation on a project by project basis
including which projects may affect critical habitat. This meeting would
include staff from Reclamation's Great Plains region as the operation of
several projects covered under the Upper Colorado RIP are within their
jurisdiction.
We look forward to receiving your comments regarding Endangered Species Act
compliance on Reclamation projects. Please contact Christine Raras with the
dates you will be available to attend a meeting at your earliest convenience.
rldl 44fl t--
cc: State Supervisor, Albuquerque Field Office, 3530 Pan American Highway NE,
Suite D, Albuquerque NM 87107
State Supervisor, Ecological Services,
Golden CO 80401
State Supervisor, Ecological Services,
South, Salt Lake City UT 84115
Margot Zallen
Regional Solicitors Office
730 Simms Street, Room 405
P.O.
