Developing and maintaining "refuge" and hatchery facilities is a priority for the
Recovery Program. Facilities such as this one on the National Wildlife Refuge at
Ouray, Utah, can be used to raise genetically unique family lots of each species of
endangered fish to support stocking, research, public education and refuge purposes.
