Name of Objector: Colorado River Water Conservation District <br />Mailing Address: P. 0. Box 1120 <br />Glenwood Springs, Colorado 81602 <br />Telephone: (303) 945 -8522 <br />2. Name of Ditch or Other Structure: Three Forks Reservoir <br />3. State facts why Application for water rights should not be granted or <br />why it should be granted only in part or on certain conditions: <br />(a) Colorado River Water Conservation District is the owner and claimant <br />of water rights on the Little Snake River and on the Yampa River. The <br />Colorado River Water Conservation District is also the owner and claimant <br />of appropriations of water from the Colorado River and its tributaries. <br />(b) The Applicant has not initiated a valid appropriation of water for <br />Three Forks Reservoir pursuant to Colorado Law. <br />(c) The Applicant has not formed the requisite intent to appropriate <br />water nor has the Applicant taken the necessary first step to initiate <br />a lawful appropriation pursuant to Colorado Law. <br />(d) The proposed appropriation.of the Applicant for Three Forks Reservoir <br />is contrary to the provisions of the Upper Colorado River Basin Compact, <br />C.R.S. 1973, 37 -62 -101 et seq. <br />(e) Applicant's proposed diversion of water from the State of Colorado <br />would cause injury to water rights of the Colorado River Water Conservation <br />District and other owners of water rights in the State of Colorado. <br />
