The Arkansas - Whits -Red Basins Inter-AgenoX Committee was established <br />on June -12, 1950, in Washington, U7. U., by resolution o the Federal <br />Inter - Agency River Basin Committee, which is a group consisting of rep - <br />resentatives of various Federal agencies organised in 1%3 for the purpose <br />of reviewing projects and proposed activity in major river basins of the <br />country in which the various agencies are interested. The governors of <br />the states which lie wholly or in part within the Arkansas, White, and <br />Red River drainage areas have been invited to participate in the meeting <br />of the Committee. This body will do the over -all planning for the develop- <br />ment of a comprehensive integrated plan of improvement in the Arkansas, <br />'White, and Red River Basins. <br />COMPOSITION: The present Federal and State members of the Committee are <br />as followst <br />Department of the Army . . . . . . . . .
