Requested FY 1996 Congressional action items <br />(Summarized version) <br />Recovery Program participants would like to make the following requests from Congress (details <br />on each item are provided on following pages): <br />Fish and Wildlife Service budget <br />1. Support Fish and Wildlife Service funding for the Recovery Program. <br />($623,000 requested in "Recovery" funds) <br />2. Earmark Fish and Wildlife Service Section 6 funds. <br />($200,000 requested for "Grants to States ") <br />3. Support Fish and Wildlife Service funds for operation and maintenance of the Ouray <br />Endangered Fish Facility. <br />($284,000 requested in "Fisheries Stewardship ") <br />Bureau of Reclamation budget <br />4. Support Bureau of Reclamation funds for the Recovery Program. <br />($6,373,000 requested in "Construction Program" funds) <br />In the early 1900s, Colorado River Basin residents commonly caught <br />and ate native Colorado River fish such as the squawrish pictured here. <br />
