Dicks, Ranking Minority Member <br />February 24, 2006 <br />Paine 2 <br />As the Subcommittee members know, these two programs rely upon substantial state <br />and other non - federal cost - sharing (which reflects strong corrgnitment to these effective <br />partnership efforts) and have the support of the Department of the Interior. DOI points to <br />these programs as national models of effective conservation partnering. The requested FWS <br />appropriations will be used in concert with other funding to continue vitally important <br />recovery program activities. Wyoming thanks the Subcommittee for its past assistance. We <br />seek that assistance again this year to ensure adequate FWS funding for the upcoming federal <br />fiscal year.
