In addition to the work required to repair the existing gate an access platform and ladder system
will be required on the exterior of the building to provide adequate and safe access to the control
building. The addition of the access platform and ladder system is a potential limitation to this
alternative since it was not included in the permit application to the U.S. Forest Service. To
implement this alternative will require revising the permit from the U.S. Forest Service to address
the need for proper access to the gate building that meets the current OSHA requirements.
The complete breakdown of the work proposed and the cost of the work proposed for Alternative 1
for Lake Isabelle is shown in Table 5. Due to the unique nature of this project Left Hand
Excavating helped in the determination of the costs for the Lake Isabelle Rehabilitation
Alternative 1.
