DRAFT <br />Comment Recieved From State Staff <br />Alternate language for Commission consideration if you want to allow <br />Commissioners to participate in re ular Commission meetings by telephone. The <br />current practice is to designate and send an alternate. <br />Proposed Amendment to Article IV of the <br />By -Laws of the Upper Colorado River Commission <br />Allowing Special Meetings by Telephone <br />May 26, 2005 <br />11. The Commission may hold special meetings by telephonic <br />communications among the several members of the Commission in <br />respect to all matters arising under Article VII of the Compact; provided, <br />the special telephonic meetings may be called by the same means <br />described in Article IV(2). No action shall be taken during a special <br />telephonic meeting unless a quorum is present as specified in Article IV(6), <br />each member of the Commission shall have one vote, and the <br />concurrence of four members of the Commission shall be required in any <br />action taken by it. The Secretary of the Commission shall prepare minutes <br />of any special telephonic meeting, and such minutes shall be submitted <br />for approval at the next meeting of the Commission held under Article <br />IV(1) or (2). <br />Any member of the Commission may attend any regular or special <br />meeting of the Commission by telephonic communication. Attendance <br />by telephone is in all respects the same as attendance in person. <br />
