Seven Lakes Reservoir Company <br />DRY CREEK RAILROAD CROSSING REHABILITATION PROJECT <br />Project Description <br />The Seven Lake Reservoir Company is responsible for the delivery of a 1,000 cfs water right from the <br />Big Thompson River, through Lake Loveland, to Horshoe Reservoir. The section of canal between <br />the Lake Loveland outlet and Horshoe Reservoir is approximately 7,500 feet in length. There was an <br />existing 5- barrel culvert crossing under the BNSF railroad that was deteriorating and creating a bottle <br />neck. This project bored a tunnel under the railroad, and installed an 84" conduit to increase the <br />capacity and efficiency of water deliveries at the crossing. <br />Project Data <br />Sponsor: Seven Lakes Reservoir Company <br />County: Larimer, Weld <br />Water Source: Big Thompson River <br />Substantial Completion: June 1, 2012 <br />Terms of Loan: $772,842 for 30 years @ 2.95% <br />Design Engineer: URS Corporation; Greeley, CO <br />Contractor: BT Construction, Inc; Henderson, CO <br />Project Elements: 115 LF of 84" steel pipe and casing, 1 cast -in -place concrete intake structure, and 1 cast -in -place <br />concrete outlet structure <br />
