Roaring Fork River Trail and Whitewater Course, City of Aspen, Colorado, 1990-1992: <br />Provided planning and design services, including site p]anning and design, environmental <br />restoration and resource protections. Provided cost estimates, bid documents, and construction <br />supervision. Also elicited public input, secured local funding, and obtained approvals from <br />local, State and federal officials. <br />Glenwood Springs Roaring Fork River Trail, City of Glenwood Springs, Colorado, 1992: <br />Completed design and construction services for a major Colorado River bike/pedestrian bridge, <br />railroad underpass, and connecting trails. <br />Glenwood Springs River Corridor Master Plan and Design Guidelines, City of Glenwood <br />Springs, Colorado, 1991: Completed a River Corridor Master Plan for the Roaring Fork and <br />Colorado Rivers through the City. This plan, approved by the City Council, was sent to the <br />citizens for approval of funds for this major project. Design and construction of a demonstration <br />trail in 1991 was also included. <br />Yampa River Trail, City of Steamboat Springs, Colorado, 1989 - 1991: Completed a master plan <br />for the Yampa River Corridor for the City of Steamboat Springs. Afrer the successful passage of <br />a$2 million bond initiative, Recreation Engineering & Planning was retained to design and <br />implement this major trail/corridor project. Completion of a City-wide master trail system plan <br />was also part of the overall project. Major portions of the Yampa River Trail were built in 1990 <br />with the remainder constructed in 1991. Also designed and supervised construction of fish <br />habitat and boating improvements in the Yampa River, within the Cite. <br />Boulder Creek Whitewater Course, City of Boulder, 1990: Obtained a grant from the Cite of <br />Boulder Parks Department to construct a whitewater kayak course on Boulder Creek. The <br />project included reconstruction of a l/4 mile section of the Creek to create a series of small drops <br />and pools that allows boating at very low flows. The project also included construction of 25 <br />semi-permanent slalom gates. The course was built on schedule and is the location for many <br />major whitewater events. <br />St. Vrain River Restoration, Town of Lyons, 1989-1990: Obtained a major grant to restore a <br />segment of the South St. Vrain River, including stream habitat improvements, a pedestrian trail, <br />bridge, and pocket parks. The project was completed on schedule and within budget and is <br />currently enjoyed by hundreds of people each year. <br />Two Forks River Park, Deckers, Colorado, 1989: Development of a major regional pazk within <br />the proposed Two Forks Reservoir azea. Presented to many federal, State, and local agencies. <br />Cleaz Creek Master Plan, Ciry of Golden, 1987: Master development plan for the two mile Clear <br />Creek Corridor as it passes through academic, residential, wban and industrial areas of <br />downtown Golden. Trail, in-channel, public facility, and park improvements have become part <br />of the revitalized area of the Creek. <br />R� <br />
