Louden Irrigating Canal & Reservoir Company <br />RIST- BENSON DAM REHABILITATION PROJECT <br />Project Description <br />The Company owns and operates the Rist- Benson Reservoir, which is on the west side of Loveland, Colorado. <br />Since 2005, the Reservoir has been restricted to a gauge height of 10.0 feet due to seepage problems along the <br />dam. The Company has repaired two sections of the embankment in previous years. This Project is the third <br />and last phase of repairs and has increased storage by 150 AF allowing for full storage of 491 AF. Construction <br />was completed in June 2011. SEO Dam Safety Branch was received. <br />Project Data <br />Sponsor: Louden Irrigating Canal & County: Larimer <br />Reservoir Company <br />Terms of Loan: $189,842.76 for 30 years @ 3.5% <br />Design Engineer: Telesto Solutions, Inc., Fort Collins <br />Contractor: Connell Resources, Fort Collins <br />Water Source: Big Thompson <br />River <br />Substantial Completion: April 1, 2012 <br />Project Elements: The rehabilitation involves excavating and re- compacting sections of the embankment, <br />installation of a toe drain, and installing riprap on the upstream face of the dam. <br />
