CWCB Water Project Loan Application <br />4. Please provide a brief description of the owner's existing water supply facilities and describe <br />any existing operational or maintenance problems. Attach a map of the service area <br />he company has approximately 17 miles of irrigation canal starting East of Austin, Colorado, and extending West to the <br />Western edge of the City of Delta, Colorado. During July of 2011 the company suffered a tunnel collapse in one of three <br />tunnels on the system. This prevented 171 users from receiving water through the tunnel. This condition still exists and the tunnel must be rebuilt at soon as possible. <br />For existing facilities indicate: <br />Number of shareholders 174 <br />Current Assessment per share $ 30.00 <br />Number of acres irrigated 2300 <br />Average water diverted per year: 17,735 <br />Part B. - Description of the Project <br />1. Name of the Project NDIC Tunnel Repair <br />or Number of customers served <br />Number of shares 2283 <br />Water Right: 49.675 CFS. <br />acre -feet. <br />2. Purpose of this loan application. If the project is for rehabilitation of an existing reservoir, is the reservoir currently under <br />storage restriction order from the State Engineer? YES ❑ NO <br />4. General location of the project. (Please include county, and approximate distance and direction <br />from nearest town, as well as legal description, if known. <br />Approximately one mile south of Cory, Colorado. West portal of the collapsed tunnel is just south of mile marker 1 on <br />Colorado 65. <br />5. Please provide a brief narrative description of the proposed project including purpose, need, <br />facilities, type of water uses to be served and service area. Attach separate sheet, if needed. <br />The project consists of lining the 1450 foot long tunnel with 1500 feet of 54 inch O.D. DR17 HDPE fused pipe pulled through <br />the tunnel and then grouted as set forth in the Feasibility Study. <br />6. Will the acquisition of additional water rights be necessary? YES —D NO [7t_ <br />If YES, please explain. <br />
