A rebate program <br /> has been identified as a conservation measure both providers view as a priority. Mount Werner& <br /> Steamboat Springs are requesting$49,500 to develop this program. <br /> Mount Werner/Steamboat Springs will offer toilet rebates to residential&commercial users and clothes <br /> washers and dishwasher rebates will be offered to residential users. The program also offers incentives <br /> for residential&commercial/HOA customers who want to replace irrigation equipment. The rebates will <br /> be offered on a first come first serve basis. Although,the water providers have stated they will also look <br /> at identifying the highest water users and encourage them to apply for a rebate to achieve maximum water <br /> savings. Mount Werner/Steamboat Springs estimate this program will save over 24 acre feet of water per <br /> year. <br /> The total cost of the project is$66,000. The applicant has pledged 25%matching funds in the form of <br /> cash($16,500).
