Feasibility Study <br />for the Rehabilitation of <br />Knoth Reservoir Dam <br />PROJECT SPONSOR <br />The Supply Irrigating Ditch Company (SIDC) is a Colorado Mutual Ditch Company and a Non- <br />profit Corporation. Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws are included in Appendix C. <br />The company's facilities include a 50 % share in Beaver Park Reservoir located in Boulder County <br />in the Roosevelt National Forest, approximately 18 miles of main supply ditch between Lyons and <br />Mead, a 92.2 cfs diversion from the Saint Vrain Creek. The SIDC is also pursuing leasing the <br />storage rights to Knoth Reservoir which is owned by Brand & Company of Longmont, Colorado. <br />The map in Appendix A shows the location of the Supply Ditch owned and operated by the SIDC <br />including the location of Knoth Reservoir. Beaver Park Reservoir, not shown on the map, is <br />located 25 miles to the west of the start of the Supply Ditch and can be accessed via State Highway <br />7 and 72 out of Lyons, Colorado. <br />The SIDC was incorporated in March 1909 and the construction on the ditch began shortly <br />thereafter. The 5IDC has been in operation continuously since 1909 and has delivered water and <br />applied assessments since its inception. Assessments for the year 2003 were set at $125 per share <br />of stock. <br />Financial statements for 2001 and 2002 are included in Appendix A of this study. For the year <br />� 2002 the SIDC had income of approximately $90,351 with expenses of approximately $77,402. <br />Based on financial statements we reviewed from 1994 to 2002, the SIDC typically does not carry <br />a significant cash balance. Assets listed include their cash account, accounts receivable, <br />' equipment, and property including the ditch rider's residence the SIDC owns.
