Yr
WATER AVAILABILITY
Gunnison River u/s of Tomichi Creek (Gage # 09114500)
1910-93
400
LL
300
LL
Z1— zoo —
0
2
O• 100 —
f
0
OCT NOV DEC JAN FEB MAR APR MAY JUN JUL AUG SEP OCT
MONTH
gunn_1.wk4 —CWCB ISF AMOUNT
The Gunnison River hydrograph was derived utilizing data from the USGS gage near
Gunnison, CO. (ID No.09114500).
SUMMARY
* The CDOW/BLM has documented that a natural environment is present in the
form of a rainbow and brown trout fishery.
* Based on the CDOW's biological recommendation, flows of 225 cfs, summer, and
200 cfs, winter, are necessary to preserve the natural environment to a reasonable
degree.
* The CWCB staff has conducted a water availability analysis and determined these
amounts are available for the Board's appropriation.
* The CWCB staff has determined that adequate water supplies exist such that the
natural environment may be preserved without limiting or foreclosing the exercise
of valid existing water rights.
C:\MARK\NEW RECS\DIV 4\96 4 A\WP\GUNNISON.RSR
