NOTICE OF INTENT OF A CONTINUOUS PROGRAM TO MODIFY WEATHER <br /> Notice is hereby given that Western Weather Consultants L.L.C., P.O. BOX 58,Durango, CO <br /> 81302 has filed with the Colorado Water Conservation Board an application for renewal of its ten-year <br /> permit to conduct a wintertime ground-based weather modification program within the State of <br /> Colorado in the Central Rocky Mountains for the following local entities: Vail-Associates-,--Inc. as well <br /> as Beaver Creek Associates, Inc. <br /> Larry Hj ermstad,Manager of Western Weather Consultants,Mike Hj ermstad, Asst. Manager <br /> and Head of Operations for Western Weather Consultants, and Eric Hj ermstad, Head of Field <br /> Operations for Western Weather Consultants shall be in control of the program, and Western Weather <br /> Consultants is the Permit Holder. <br /> The Primary Target Area for the ten-year Weather Modification Permit is defined as follows: <br /> Both the Vail and Beaver Creek Ski Resorts. <br /> The Colorado Revised Statutes (Title 20, 36-20-101 through 36-20-126) do not require notice <br /> for permit renewals but the applicant was requested to publish notice of intent in the target area and <br /> adjacent counties. These counties include:Eagle, Summit, Lake, Pitkin, Garfield, Routt and Grand. <br /> The program shall be continuous from November 1 through—March 31, 2011 for each year for <br /> the next ten years, expiring on 2020. Operations will be limited for safety reasons so there will be <br /> monitoring for severe conditions, avalanche danger and snowpack thresholds, and annual notification <br /> to emergency managers, among other requirements. The Permit Holder is requested to coordinate <br /> regularly with the CWCB to ensure operations are operated,judiciously to minimize danger to land, <br /> health, safety,people,property and the environment on behalf of the citizens as directed by the <br /> Colorado Revised Statutes. <br /> Complete details of the operations to be conducted are available from:Western Weather <br /> Consultants at P.O.
