Please provide a brief narrative description of the proposed project including purpose, need, <br />facilities, type of water uses to be served and service area. Attach separate sheet, if needed. <br />The project is to develop Raw Water Infrastructure to deliver water from Lake Nighthorse <br />to Lake Durango. The yield of existing water rights dces not meet demand in drought years. <br />The service area is primarily rural residential ruraUagricultural. The water will be treated <br />at the Lake Durango Water Treatment Plant and serve existing customers as well as <br />existing and future demand. The project will also allow the Authority to provide treated <br />water to the planned La Plata West Water Authority distribution system. <br />2 <br />
