The North <br />Fark Water Rights Lease will supplement the Republican River Compact Compliance Pipeline and will <br />reduce the amount of ground water that will be pumped during the term of the North Fork Lease, thereby <br />prolonging the life of the aquifer in the area of the wells that will be used as Compact Compliance Wells. <br />In addition, the water can be relied upon by Yuma County cities as an emergency augmentation supply in <br />the event that compact compliance efforts fail and municipal wells are curtailed per the North Fark Lease. <br />The purchase contract also includes a dry up covenants from the sellers.
