Report on Performance of ET Based Irrigation Controller, April 23, <br />2003. <br />General Category: Irrigation Technology <br />Study Type: ❑ Journal ® Private Study ❑ Book ❑ Government/Agency <br />❑ University ❑ Manufacturer <br />Study Description: In the Spring of 2000, the cities of Boulder, Longmont, and <br />Greeley, Colorado began a small pilot study of the reliability and effectiveness of <br />the WeatherTRAK ET signal controller. The purpose of this study was to <br />document the performance of the system in actual field conditions at homes of <br />volunteer customers. <br />Year(s) Data Collected: Between 2000 and 2002 <br />Quantitative /Qualitative: Quantitative information regarding how <br />WeatherTRAK controller works <br />Summary of Findings Related to Landscape' .-Water Conservation BMPs: <br />Compared with the historical use of the sites, there was an average of <br />35,000 gallons of water per'site that was saved. <br />Caveats: <br />• Some of the study was conducted during the 2002 drought <br />Page 4 <br />
