The District also distributed Project Planet materials to eight
area hotels indicating the importance of water conservation to area tourists and hotel staff. The
costs for the Project Planet materials and distribution were included as in -kind contributions to the
project in the previous invoice.
Signage was installed in all hotel rooms, restaurants and other locations that benefited from the
installation of retrofits under this Grant. A total of 169 signs were developed and installed as part of
this outreach effort (see attached Table as well as appendix B in the Final Grant Report).
Task 2
Water use audits have been conducted with 16 of the District's customers; including 12 audits. that
were funded through this Grant (four other audits were conducted prior to this Grant to support
preparation of the grant application). Costs for development of the water models that will be used
to track water demand reductions at each of the audited facilities were recently incurred and are
included in the attached invoice.
Retrofit installations that occurred, including the placement of those fixtures, is identified in the
attached table.
Task 3
Finally, the District has been compiling and evaluating daily and monthly water use data for each
customer that received retrofit fixtures to allow for the quantification of water demand reductions
over the 8 -month evaluation period. The process of collecting and evaluating water use data has
been instrumental in helping the District understand how to mine its automated meter reading and
data collection and warehousing system. This data has been included in the final report to the
CWCB. The attached invoice includes the costs incurred by both the District and Great Western
Institute directly pertaining to the data collection and evaluation effort that resulted in the
production of the final report.
Final Report
100 Lyn Avenue
P.O.
