TCUW 0
er
September 1, 2010
Colorado Water Conservation Board
Attn: Ben Wade
1313 Sherman St. Room 721
Denver CO, 80203
Re: Water Efficiency Grant 50% Progress Report
Purchase Order Number: OE PDA 10000000107
Dear Mr. Wade,
RE
201
h e
Please find herein, the 50% Progress report prepared by the Town of Superior in conjunction with
the requirements of our water efficiency grant award for the preparation of our Water Conservation
Plan. This report details the tasks completed thus far, identifies issues that have arisen regarding
grant implementation, and discusses the remaining work required for the successful completion of
the Water Conservation Plan that will be forwarded to CWCB for review and approval.
Steps Completed
Thus far, the Town and its contractors have conducted the following key tasks:
• Collection and organization of the Town's monthly water use since 2005 by customer type,
including information on non- revenue water, and both potable and non - potable uses.
• Collection and review of water use by the Town's highest water users.
• Initial development of the Town's future water use demands excluding the impact of any
future, new water conservation measures and programs.
• Identification of the impact of past water conservation efforts on current water demands.
• Preliminary identification of water conservation goals for the Town.
Issues and Obstacles
There are no issues or obstacles that have been identified that would impact project execution and
completion, with one exception. Given the delay of the grant award, the public comment period
may have to be coordinated with the end of year holiday season. A review of the Town's public
comment and Town Council policies is being conducted to help schedule the 60 -day public review
and comment period.
124 E.
