74
Rev. 4 -8 -69
Project costs summarized according to function are as follows:
Total Irrigation cost $1,079,000
Total recreation, fish and wildlife cost 669,100
Total project cost $
E. GRANT AND LOAN COMPUTATIONS
Under the provisions of the Small Reclamation Projects Act, the
following costs, among others, may be disbursed in the form of grants:
(1) the costs of investigations, surveys, and engineering and other
services necessary to the preparation of proposals and plans for the
project allocable to fish and wildlife enhancement or public recreation;
(2) one -half the costs of basic public outdoor recreation facilities or
facilities serving fish and wildlife enhancement purposes exclusively;
and (3) one -half the costs of construction of joint use facilities
properly allocable to fish and wildlife enhancement or public recreation.
The derivation of the costs allocable to item (1) above is shown
in Table VII -D. Therefore, separable costs of $10,900 and joint costs
of $40,900 for a total of $51,800 are allocable to recreation, fish and
wildlife enhancement and would be fully nonreimbursable. This amount
includes $7,500 advanced for planning of recreational facilities.
In Table VII -B, the separable costs for recreation, fish and
wildlife enhancement purposes is $227,900. Since this figure includes
the $10,900 separable costs shown in the preceding paragraph, a deduc-
tion is made leaving $217,000 as the amount applicable under item (2).
One -half of this amount, $108,500, may thus be received as a grant in
accordance with item (2).
In Table VII -C (line 7 -a), the remaining joint costs allocated to
recreation, fish and wildlife enhancement is $441,200. The $40,900 of
joint costs included in item (1) is deducted from this amount leaving
$400,300 as the amount applicable under item (3). One -half of this
amount, or $200,150, may be received as a grant under item (3).
Round to $200,200
