remote. Moreover, there is a city ordinance in effect which prohibits
irrigation of lawns during a fire.
City maintenance crews are accustomed to doing emergency repair work
and are well- trained to do so. The two -way radio system operated by the city
electrical department, if extended to the water department, would make it a
simple task to alert repair crews in the event of a water system failure.
In view of the above facts, we believe that the City of Loveland is safe
in providing something less than the normal amount of storage designated
purely as emergency storage. For purposes of this study we have set this
amount at 35 per cent of the total storage required.
