NELSON, HALEY, PATTERSON, and QUIRK
Engineering Consultants
TELEPHONE May 25, 1961
ELGIN 2 -8077
Honorable Mayor and City Council
City of Loveland
Colorado
Gentlemen:
911 SIXTEENTH STREET
GREELEY. COLORADO
Submitted herewith is our report on the existing and proposed water facilities
for the City of Loveland. It is our belief that this report will show an
accurate and comprehensive picture of the water system problems and the most
feasible solutions thereof.
We have endeavored to investigate and evaluate all sections of the existing
water facilities with respect to their physical condition and capacities.
In accordance with the instructions of the City Officials, we have related
these capacities to a population which may be served.
Recommendations, as shown herein, are made with sound engineering judgment
and in accordance with what we believe to be the most economical processes.
We have investigated many alternate plans during this study and either dis-
counted them as completely infeasible, or discussed their merits in this
report.
This report is, of necessity, a condensation of the voluminous study and
calculation material acquired during the investigation. All of this material
is on file in our offices and available for study by any interested parties.
We would like to thank the various City Officials upon whom we had occasion
to call for information and express our appreciation for the excellent co -op-
eration afforded us by Water Superintendent, Wilford Osborn; City Engineer,
G. E. Dallemand; and William Davis, Filter Plant Operator.
Please feel free to call upon this firm at any time for clarification or
further information on any subject contained in this report.
Respectfully submitted,
NELSON, HALEY, PATTERSON, and QUIRK
William D.
