Ft. <br />For the period 1953 through 1964 the average total annual farm <br />delivery was 1 82 acre feet of water per acre, including the yield from wells. <br />This total was approximately 84% of the 'ideal" farm delivery requirement, <br />Possible Water Savings. An overall savings in water would result <br />from the construction of the proposed project, This savings would result from <br />the replacement of Halligan Dam as a regulatory reservoir by the proposed <br />Park Creek Dam and Reservoir, from some additional storage, from consoli- <br />dation of established storage rights and the abandonment of some plains res- <br />ervoirs, from a more efficient and flexible system; and from the elimination <br />of leakage at Halligan Dam by the installation of new outlet gates, <br />4. PROJECT PLAN. <br />Locations The Park Creek Dam and Reservoir site is located in parts <br />of Sections 7, 17 and 18, Township 10 North, Range 69 West of the 6th Po M. , <br />which is in the north central part of Colorado, approximately 18 miles north <br />and 4 miles west of the City of Ft. Collins, Colorado, Halligan Dam is located <br />approximately 18 miles northwest of the proposed Park Creek Dam and Reservoir <br />site, <br />Purpose. Broadly, the purpose of the project is to help make the fullest <br />practicable use of the North Poudre Irrigation Company's water supply. It <br />will accomplish this by the following. <br />S -4 <br />
