,' � <br />, <br />No fatal flaws were identified in the geotechnical investigation of the PS-2 site. The site is <br />suitable for the planned construction. Expansive clayey soils require pier construction for <br />the forebay storage reservoir and pump station. <br />Pumping Station 3(PS-3) Site Selection <br />The 20-acre, City-owned PS-3 site meets the design criteria for the project. The site is east of <br />Powhaton Road and south of I-70, adjacent to the Watkins Trailer Park. The site was <br />confirmed to be suitable for the construction of PS-3 before it was purchased by the City. <br />Figure 5 below shows the site selected for PS-3, which will include the pumping station, the <br />future Zone 4 distribution system pumping facilities, including a storage reservoir and a <br />pump station, and space for a future second raw water pumping station. Adequate space is <br />available for these facilities on the selected site. The site ground elevation at PS-3 is <br />approximately 5,600 feet above mean sea level.
