Hamburg, Water Resource Analyst. <br />SUBJECT: West Paradox 147atershed Application for P.L. 566 Project. <br />In a recent meeting you asked me to review the tiles <br />on the above subject matter and to answer several questions con- <br />cerning the Paradox Valley Canal and Reservoir Company and its <br />application to obtain a P. L. 566 project. <br />The Articles of Incorporation of the company provide <br />as follows: <br />1. The objects and purposes of the Company are to <br />operate and maintain Buckeye Reservoir, and the canal <br />system, all above the point where water from the outlet <br />of the Buckeye Reservoir enters West Paradox Creek. <br />This includes (a) the Deep Creek Feeder Ditch, (b) the <br />Geyser Ditch, (c) the Geyser Reservoir, and (d) the <br />Buckeye Reservoir. The company has authority to engage <br />in works of improvement, including reservoir enlarge- <br />ment. <br />2. The company is a non - profit private corporation <br />with perpetual existence. <br />3. The classes of stock are Class I, Class II and <br />Class III. <br />(a) Class I stock is to be issued to holders of <br />"A" contracts, who are defined in the Decree <br />entered in Case No. 5917, September 12, 1947, <br />District Court of Montrose.
