WORK OUTLINE Trinchera Watershed a County, State of Colorado June 1972 Preliminary investigations, reported in the attached copy of a Watershed Investigation Report, :indicate that a feasible project for Irrigation Water Management can be developed for the Trinchera Watershed. The sponsoring; local organizations have been informed of this fact and have indicated that they wish to proceed with the development of a watershed work plan. Mutual agreements have been reached on desired levels for project development. Level of Development - Thz Trinchera Irrigation Company operates a system of two storage reservoirs with delivery canals and laterals to farms. The parent company was organized in 1907. The agreed upon level of development consists of rehabilitation of the system including lateral realignment and lining; headgates with measuring flumes; road culverts and one pumping plant at Smith Reservoir. The pumping plant will be used instead of replacing a 25 c.f.s wooden flume. The following work outline has been prepared to guide the development of a work pArn- and environmental statement and to present estimates of (1) the'scope and intensity of surveys and investigations, (2) man -day and cost inputs, (3) a proposed schedule for completing the plan and (4) a preliminary estimate of the PL -566, other, and total cost of the structural works of improvement. The following surveys, investigations, and analyses have been agreed upon by the Service and other State and Federal agencies that will participate in developing the watershed work plan.. Vydrologic Engineering Water supply - Water supply for reservoir storage and direct diversion will be calculated from records of U.S.G.S., State of Colorado, and Trinchera Irrigation Company. Supplemental water from wells will be calculated from records of land operators and the Public Service Company of Colorado.
