<br />S>':cr. 13. (It) Nothing in this Act shall alfect the Jur•isdic•tiol, or
<br />responsibilities of the Stattes with r•eslwet to fish atld wildlife. Ilantiug
<br />and fishin r shall be perillit.ted on laulcls a11d Waters administered as
<br />parts of tfie system under applicable State and Federal laws and
<br />re ;ula.tions unless, in the case of hunting, those hinds or waters are
<br />within a national park or monument. The administering Secretary
<br />1111ty, however, de:sig11ate %oales wiler'e, Itlld eslathlish per4mis when, no
<br />hunting is permitted for re*a,oils of public safety, uchnillistr GOI, or
<br />public use and enjoyment. and shall issue appropnitte regulations after
<br />consultattion with the wildlife agency of the Mate or States affected.
<br />(b) The jurisdiction of the States and the United States over waters
<br />of any stream included in it national wild, scenic or rowreat ional river
<br />surest shall be determined by established principles of law. Under the
<br />provisions of this Act, slily tatking by the (United Stattes of a waiter right
<br />which is vested under either State or Federal law at the time such
<br />river is inchtded in the rtattional wild and scenic rivers system shall en-
<br />title the owner thereof to just, compensation. Nothing in this Act shall
<br />constitute an express or implied chum or denial on the part of the Fed-
<br />eral Government as to exemption from State water laws.
<br />(c) Designation of any stream or portion thereof as a national wild,
<br />scenic or recreational river area shall not be construed as It re,.wrvation
<br />of the wstters of such streatms for purposes other than those slxx•.ified
<br />in this Act, or in quim(ities greater than necessary to atecornplish these

<br />( ) The jurisdiction of the States over watters of Italy stres11n include(

<br />tional wild, scenic or recreattional river area.
