May I speak to. please? (ARRANGE FOR <br />CALLBACK IF NECESSARY) (WHEN CORRECT PERSON ON LINE SAY) May I ask you a few questions, please? <br />1. Approximately how many days did you fish in Colorado in 1995? None.. TERMINATE <br /># of days 4 -6) <br />The Colorado Division of Wildlife is responsible for managing lakes,ponds, reservoirs and rives <br />for sportfishing and acquatic wildlife in Colorado. The Division provides several types of <br />fishing opportunities. These opportunities are: <br />- Coldwater fishing, that is trout or salmon fishing, AND <br />- Warmwater fishing, that is fishing for bass, catfish,crappie,biuegi11 northern pike,yellow <br />perch and tiger musky. • <br />This survey is about warmwater fishing in your area. <br />2. You mentioned that you fished days in Colorado in 1995. How many, if any, of those days <br />were spent fishing for warmwater fish as I just described. <br />None.. TERMINATE <br />7. The lower Colorado River in the Grand Junction area has endangered fishes like the <br />Colorado Squawfish and razorback sucker. There is some evidence that warmwater <br />fishes like bass,catfish and green sunfish that escape into the river from adjacent <br />ponds or reservoirs may cause harm to endangered fishes. One of the proposed projects <br />to help recover the endangered fishes is to remove all the warmwater fish from ponds <br />close to the river and do one of three things with those ponds....... <br />- either not stock fish at all <br />stock only with trout at certain times of the year, <br />or stock only bass, crappie and bluegill if the fish can't escape from the pond. <br /># of days ( 7 -9) <br />3.
