4 <br />1 generally depicted on a map entitled "Fossil Ridge <br />2 Wilderness Proposal ", dated May 1991, and which <br />3 shall be known as the Fossil Ridge Wilderness Area: <br />4 Provided, That the area depicted as Area A on the <br />5 aforementioned map shall be known as the Fossil <br />6 Ridge National Conservation Area and shall be man- <br />7 aged for backcountry recreation, including motorized <br />8 travel on existing designated trails and routes: Pro - <br />9 vided further, That the Fossil Ridge National Con - <br />10 servation Area is hereby withdrawn from all forms <br />11 of timber removal, and subject to valid existing <br />12 rights, is hereby withdrawn from all forms of appro- <br />13 priation under the mining laws and from disposition <br />14 under all laws pertaining to mineral leasing and all <br />15 amendments thereto. <br />16 (8) Certain lands within the Pike and San Isa- <br />17 bel National Forests, Colorado, comprising approxi- <br />18 mately 13,830 acres, as generally depicted on a map <br />19 entitled "Lost Creek Wilderness Proposal ", dated <br />20 May 1991, which are hereby incorporated in the <br />21 Lost Creek Wilderness Area: Provided, That the <br />22 Secretary is authorized to acquire, by purchase or <br />23 exchange on a willing seller /willing buyer basis, vari- <br />24 ous mineral reservations held by the State of Colora- <br />S 10291S <br />
