The source of the water is: Armstrong Creek of the Elkhead Creek of the <br />Yampa River. <br />4. Legal description of the stream segment through which an instream flow is <br />claimed: <br />a. The natural stream channel from the headwaters in the vicinity of <br />latitude 40° 45' 52" N and longitude 107° 04' 17" W as the upstream <br />terminus and extending to the inlet of the proposed California Park <br />Reservoir at latitude 40 44' 40" N and longitude 107° 08' 8" W as the <br />downstream terminus, being a distance of approximately 4.9 miles. <br />This segment can be located on the Meaden Peak, Pilot Knob and <br />Quaker Mountain U.S.G.S. quadrangles. <br />b. For administrative purposes only: <br />Upper Terminus = <br />UTM 4514662.446N 325157.142E <br />SE '/ SE V4, S6, T9N, R86W, 6` PM <br />505 feet W of the E section line, 1010 feet N of the S section line <br />Lower Terminus = <br />UTM 4512573.357N 319690.349E <br />NE % NW '/, S 15, T9N, R87W, 6` PM <br />2357 feet E of the W section line, 972 S of the N section line <br />5. Use of the water: <br />Instream flow to preserve the natural environment to a reasonable degree. <br />6. Date of initiation of appropriation: <br />January 25, 2006. <br />7. The water was first applied to the above beneficial use on January 25, 2006, <br />by the action of the Colorado Water Conservation Board under the <br />provisions of C.R.S. § § 37- 92- 102(3) and 37- 92- 103(3), (4) and (10). <br />8. Amount of water claimed (ABSOLUTE): Instream flow of 1.0 cfs (April 1 <br />— July 15) and .25 cfs (July 16 — March 31). <br />
