Director, CWCB I have been informed that a meeting has been scheduled on June 20, 1997, in Craig to discuss several of the water - related issues that have arisen within the context of the Yampa River Wz er Management Plan. I also understand that the purpose of this meeting is to discuss the inter- relationship between the Yampa River water demand projections and the instream flow water Tights which the Colorado Water Conservation Board (CWCB) appropriated in 1995 for the recovery of the endangered fish of the Upper Colorado River basin. Both Greg Espegren and I plan to attend the June 20, 1997, meeting on behalf of the CWCB. To provide a common background for discussion at that meeting, we provide the following three documents for your review. Enclosed, please find copies of (1) the Board memorandum summarizing the "Endangered Fish Instream Flow Water Rights for the Yampa River" which was presented as Agenda Item lb at the CWCB's December 13, 1995, meeting, (2) a transcription of the CWCB minutes from that same agenda item, and (3) the November 22, 1995, Colorado River Compact Water Development Projection final report.
