C. provides for the contractor to utilize available floodplain mapping to the extent possible. The map sheets in this addendum show where floodplain mapping has already been prepared, whether it be detailed floodplain mapping or approximate floodplain mapping, and whether it be published or unpublished floodplain mapping. There are 11 individual map sheets in Addendum A. 6 sheets (RG-1 through RG-6) provide information about Rio Grande County and 5 sheets (AL-1 through AL-5) provide information about Alamosa County. The map sheets display three kinds of floodplain mapping: 1. Published detailed floodplain mapping 2. Published approximate floodplain mapping 3. In the case of Alamosa County the information applies to Rock Creek, a tributary to the Rio Grande which joins the Rio Grande near the Alamosa Airport. In the case of Rio Grande County the information applies primarily to the Rio Grande itself.
