" The <br />primary purpose of that project was to provide augmentation water for the Lower South Platte <br />at times when the South Platte River Compact is in force. <br />An engineering reconnaissance study was conducted by GASP to evaluate 3 potential reservoir <br />sites. Although these sites were not feasible, the evaluation process tumed up an array potential <br />projects that would help to augment the lower end of the river. It was decided that it would be <br />best to take a broader look at the basin. The organizations listed above represent the full <br />spectrum of interests on the South Platte River, and it is this group that is now proposing to <br />undertake the study . <br />DISCUSSION <br />This Study will identify augmentation projects that benefit numerous water user groups in the <br />
