� <br />l � 1: 1:: : 1► 1 � ';1 1 <br />� <br />Another group of projects that are associated with the Julesburg Irrigation District have <br />been approved for $ 10,000 of funding by the SPLRG. The funding includes the purchase <br />and repair of a mobile pump that can pump water from the District's canals to recharge <br />areas located near the canals. That pump will be operated this fall to lift water to areas <br />along and adjacent to the District's canal system for recharge into the alluvial aquifer. The <br />same pump may also be used in conjunction with several other projects within the lower <br />river. It is envisioned that the reregulation activities associated with the Julesburg <br />Irrigation District will produce 3,000 to 5,000 acre feet of water per year. <br />.:: r :/ 111 1Y r: .:: ':1 <br />A third project that has been approved for $ 5,000 is in operation and is known as the <br />Thrasher recharge project that diverts water from the river into the Liddle Ditch to <br />recharge the aquifer from the ditch bottom and from a recharge area located at the end of <br />the ditch. Up to 2000 acre feet per year are expected to be recharged each year under this <br />projec� <br />
