E. Reportinq of Research Results
1. Publications
White has authored or co- authored 19 technical publications, has 6 manuscripts
submitted or in draft, 31 technical reports, has served as co- editor for the
proceedings of an international symposium and published 10 professional papers.
Also 14 MS Theses and 1 PhD Dissertation served as completion reports and are
not documented.
As indicated earlier, White's research involvement has been that of a team leader,
major professor of students, and supervisor of one or more individuals that
participate in studies. In all of these cases, White has performed a lead role in
identifying research needs /approaches, securing funds, and managing completion
of the work; whereas the primary role of the students and research associates has
been to refine and implement study procedures, perform field and lab work,
analyze data as advised by White and university statisticians, and prepare theses
and draft reports. From this it is clear that a significant portion of White's research
activity is included in co- authored papers.
Note: Figures in brackets after each coauthored publication in the following lists
indicate the percentage of the incumbent's contribution in each of four
categories: (1) development of the idea, (2) collection of data, (3) data
analysis, and (4) preparation of:the: document.
1- - White, R. G. and Tim Cochnauer. 1975. Stream resource maintenance flow
studies. Coop. Study Report: Idaho Dept. Fish and Game, and Idaho
Cooperative Fishery Resource; Unit.
