The Dist�ic� dc�� <br />maintain some of the crlannel. Those reac that are within our Dis�r_c� <br />boundaries are all below I-70. A considerable portion cf the bas=_^_ <br />extends from I-70 northerl_y to the top of �he Bookcliffs just or� the wes� <br />side of Mt. Garfield, all within Mzsa Cour_�y. <br />There are some residents within the Drainage District in the Bosl=:,� <br />Wash basin who have experienced multiple water/mud flew damage sinc? Jul-� <br />24, 1999. The District participated in the Septem�er 28, 1999 meeting o� <br />citizens 1oca1, State, and F°deral offic�als wherein it was suggest�d <br />that an agency request monies from the Colorado Water Cons2rvation Boa=� <br />for a basin study which would result in a master drainage plan for th� <br />basin. <br />The Drainage District is willing to contribute �5,000.00 cas'r� ar.c <br />another $2,500.00 in kind services from G��J� staff in caler_dar year 200G <br />tcward a master drainage basin plan for Bcsleir wash. It is believed tha� <br />such a coordinated, total basin plan is th2 best way to evaluate c= <br />prioritize any drainage improvements within the basin.
