Republican River Water Conservation District <br />Water Activity Enterprise <br />410 Main Street, Suite 8 <br />Wray, CO 80758 <br />970-332-3552 <br />Dennis Coryell, President <br />Kim Killin, Vice President <br />Tim Pauder, Secretary <br />Rick Seedorf, Treasurer <br />Stan Murphy, General Manager <br />To: Colorado Water Conservation Board <br />Re: Scope of Work for Non-Reimbursable Project <br />March 6, 2007 <br />Summary <br />The Republican River Water Conservarion District Water Activity Enterprise ("the <br />District"), in cooperation with the State Engineer's Office, has received a Non- <br />Reimbursable Investment of $50,000 from the Colorado Water Conservation Board's <br />Water Project Construction Program. Pursuant to SB 05-084, Section 14 (1) and (2), <br />these funds will help enable the District to undertake projects and studies vital to <br />assisting the State of Colorado meet Republican River Compact compliance and to <br />sustaining water resources within the Republican River Basin. <br />Scope of Work <br />During 2007 and beyond, the District will engage the services of Slattery Aqua <br />Engineering LLC and possibly other engineering firms to provide critical water- <br />related analysis and recommendations within the Republican River Basin. The <br />District has budgeted $12,000 for engineering consultation in 2007. <br />Specifically, required work includes: <br />• Report on the unpact of pumping wells within varying distances from the river <br />for purposes of establishing the District's financial incentives through <br />programs such as the Conservarion Reserve Enhancement Program (CREP) <br />and the Environmental Quality Incentive Program (EQIP); <br />• Develop maps that pinpoint well locations and river proximities for use <br />throughout the basin; <br />• Brief the District Boaxd and the public on compact compliance status and on <br />impacts of District activities to the compact; <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
